CES 2013: Qualcomm's 11.6in Tablet includes Touchscreen by PDA

January 7, 2013
Qualcomm’s 11.6in Snapdragon-based tablet – used by CEO Paul Jacobs during his CES 2013 Keynote address - features an Atmel maXTouch capacitive touchscreen designed by Precision Design Associates. PDA worked closely with Qualcomm design teams on two continents to design a multitouch sensor that would help showcase the power and performance of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor.

"Once we had defined the functional and mechanical requirements with Qualcomm," said PDA President Phil Wills, "we designed a sensor around Atmel’s maXTouch touchscreen controller and worked with our partners to provide Qualcomm with a state of the art touch panel that supports both Android and Windows 8 operating systems."
