28xx Series - 2.8in Projected Capacitance Touch

TM2800/TM2801 shown

The 28xx series is based on a 2.8in touch sensor that is well-suited for smaller designs with low-to-moderate user-interface requirements.

Modules in this series provide quick prototyping options both as addon modules to Atmel Xplained kits, custom hosts or in a stand-alone configuration.

Notes

To get started, visit the links below for Atmel Studio and the Atmel Software Framework (ASF). Atmel Studio is an IDE and toolchain targetting Atmel's MCU products. The ASF provides drivers, code modules and example projects for a variety of solutions and applications - including Atmel's "mXT143E Xplained" kit which includes the TM2800.

Development for the other 28xx series sensors can leverage the "mXT143E Xplained" ASF code with varying degrees of adjustments needed depending on the nature of the interfacing host. For example, the TM2801 module requires minor code changes (as shown in the linked project source above)
