The 70xx series is based on a 7in touch sensor targetting slightly larger user-interface requirements.

Modules in this series provide prototyping options for Atmel ARM-based EK, Xplained and Xplained Pro kits, as well as custom hosts.

TM7000B Sensor + Cover Panel + LCD + ARM EK / Xplained / XPro Interface PCB
Description 7in Touch Module for use with AtmelXplained and ARM-based EKs or custom hosts with the necessary interfaces and I/O to communicate with the touch controller and display hardware.

This redesign of the TM7000 module uses a newer maXTouch T-Series controller.

  • Touch sensor with mXT640T controller
  • Support for up to 10 touches
  • Improved noise immunity
  • 4 Capacitive "Navigation" keys on PCB
  • 1.1mm Dragontrail™ cover panel
  • 7in TFT LCD, 800x600
  • 18-bit RGB parallel interface

To get started, visit the link below for Atmel's maXTouch GitHub project where maXTouch resources are available including drivers and tools for developing on Linux and Android platforms. The AT91 Linux4SAM and Android4SAM community pages offer resources for developing Linux- and Android-based systems using Atmel's ARM MCUs, and have guides and demo images for the various evaluation kits. When developing for smaller scale or custom hosts, the links below for Atmel Studio and the Atmel Software Framework (ASF) will be helpful. Atmel Studio is an IDE and toolchain targetting Atmel's MCU products. The ASF provides drivers, code modules and example projects for a variety of solutions and applications. The projects for Atmel's "mXT143E Xplained" kit can provide a useful starting point for developing code to interface with the maXTouch controller
